The ELEMENTS of Life
Do you know about 99.9% of your body is made of 11 chemical elements? What are these elements and what do they look like? You will find the answers in this film which is made to celebrate the International Year of the Periodic Table of the Chemical Elements (IYPT2019).
1869 is considered as the year of discovery of the Periodic System, and Dmitri Mendeleev was a major discoverer. 2019 will be the 150th anniversary of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements and has therefore been proclaimed the "International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements (IYPT2019)" by the United Nations General Assembly and UNESCO. The film organizes the 11 elements in 3 groups: the first group is gases and liquids, the second is metals, and the third is non-metallic solids with an emphasis on different allotropes. The number after each name of the element is its weight percentage in human body.
